I love to share what I am learning in my own journey with Jesus and study of his Word in hopes that it might encourage and help you take next steps in your own journey with Jesus. If you find these insights helpful, I’d love for you to subscribe to my newsletter.
Beginnings
This coming weekend, we will celebrate Easter. I think sometimes we see Easter as the ending of a three act play that started in the gutter of Good Friday, lost the plot during an uneventful Saturday, but culminated in a surprising twist that “Christ is Risen!” That is the story, but the ending is actually the beginning.
Too often, I think we see our lives as if we’re still living on the Holy Saturday of Easter weekend. We stumble around because we have lost the plot. We forget that the climax of the story already happened, and we are living in the ending, which is really the beginning.
That’s why it is so important to celebrate Easter every year. It reminds us of where we are in the story.
What To Do in a Storm
For the past couple of years, life has felt like a series of storms.
I’m quite certain you feel it too. Many of these storms have been shared experiences. Covid. Racial strife. Political polarization. And now, the war in Ukraine.
And yet, many of us are also facing distinctively personal storms.
I’m not sure what storm you are facing, but I’d like to share the best advice I know for what to do in the middle of a storm.
